Job Opening: Claims & Reimbursement Accounts Manager Position

Summary:
Manage and direct the activities of employees engaged in processing of reimbursement requests and examining self funded health & welfare plan claims, ongoing maintenance of plans, providing direction for client problem resolution, and compliance with government regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • plans and develops departmental goals, policies and operational changes to be implemented

  • implements work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow

  • identifies then enhances departmental procedures to improve efficiency

  • develops staff through performances management, goal setting, training adn effective employee relations

  • works directly with Managers/Department Heads to coordinate procedures and activities important to the interaction between departments

  • responds to internal and external inquiries explaining benefit provisions and departmental procedures as related to plan administration

  • other duties and responsibilities may be assigned
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least three of those years of experience in a management and/or supervisory capacity

  • fundamental knowledge of all aspects of (Section 125/129/132) FSA, HRA, and HSA regulations and of the self-funded (Dental and Vision) claims adjudication process

  • thorough understanding of claims operation to include payment of claims, interpretation of contracts and communication of benefits

  • strong managerial, communicative, analytical and project management skills

  • demonstrated experience with an integrated claim paying system (Alegus preferred) and an intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations

  • capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
