Job Opening: Claims & Reimbursement Accounts Manager Position
Manage and direct the activities of employees engaged in processing of reimbursement requests and examining self funded health & welfare plan claims, ongoing maintenance of plans, providing direction for client problem resolution, and compliance with government regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
plans and develops departmental goals, policies and operational changes to be implemented
implements work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow
identifies then enhances departmental procedures to improve efficiency
develops staff through performances management, goal setting, training adn effective employee relations
works directly with Managers/Department Heads to coordinate procedures and activities important to the interaction between departments
responds to internal and external inquiries explaining benefit provisions and departmental procedures as related to plan administration
other duties and responsibilities may be assigned
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least three of those years of experience in a management and/or supervisory capacity
fundamental knowledge of all aspects of (Section 125/129/132) FSA, HRA, and HSA regulations and of the self-funded (Dental and Vision) claims adjudication process
thorough understanding of claims operation to include payment of claims, interpretation of contracts and communication of benefits
strong managerial, communicative, analytical and project management skills
demonstrated experience with an integrated claim paying system (Alegus preferred) and an intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
